The CROWN work plan consists of seven inter-connecting Work Packages (WP), which follow a natural progression allowing for research and development, focussed on the spectrum and interference management, intelligent signal processing and information-theoretic study of CR networks.
The high level work packages for the project are:

WP 1 Management;

WP 2 Dissemination;

WP 3 Scenarios definition;

WP 4 Study of spectral efficiency of multi-antenna CR networks;

WP 5 Spectrum sensing, interference management, Media Access Control (MAC) layer protocol and optimum resource allocations;

WP 6 CR transceiver design;

WP 7 Proof-of-concept demonstration activity using cognitive open-air interface platform.
