The following represents a combination of industrial and research based grants. This mix reflects my emphasis on technology transfer in pursuit of my research goals.

Principal Investigator of an application to InvestNI Proof of Concept Scheme entitled Optimisation of Fuel usage within the Airline Industry.

Principal Investigator of an application to EPSRC entitled A New Approach to Search Methodology Development for the University Examination Timetabling Problem. Submitted jointly with Professor Edmund Burke from the ASAP Group at the University of Nottingham.

Industrial Collaborator on EPSRC grant entitled Adaptive Multi-Objective Heuristic and Meta-Heuristic Approaches to Space Allocation (GR/T26115/01).

Co-investigator of a project entitled Representational Design Principles to Humanise Automated Scheduling Systems from the ESRC/EPSRC funded PACCIT programme Co investigators were Peter C-H. Cheng, School of Psychology, University of Sussex, Professor Peter I. Cowling, Department of Computing, University of Bradford, Professor Edmund K. Burke, School of Computer Science and IT, University of Nottingham. Ended 2004

Principal Investigator of a TCS (Teaching Company Scheme) awarded in September 2001, for the investigation of a Satellite Navigation Scheduling System for the purpose of enhancing the delivery scheduling problem for a local N.Ireland cement and aggregate company that had moved into European and North American markets. Ended 2004.

Principal Investigator of a FUSSION project with Aircraft Management Company (ATM Limited) in Dublin. The company develop intelligent electronic Flightbag software software to aid with aircraft operation. Ended 2008.

Principal Investigator of a FUSSION project with a language delivery company (Authentik) in Dublin. Development of methodology for delivery of web based solutions to delivery of computer programming courses. Ended 2008.

Principal Investigator of a FUSSION project with a Galway based company in the development of EPOS systems in relation to scheduling systems. Ended September 2004.

Co-Investigator of Industrial Funding attained totaling 320K for EventMAP Company research and Development. Attained from University of Nottingham, Queen’s University and Invest NI. 2002 onwards.

Co-Investigator of Industrial Funding attained for the research and development of space management software for the higher education sector in accordance with a 370K grant from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). 2000 onwards.
