It was agreed at PATAT08 in Montreal that the 3rd International Timetabling Competition will be begin in August 2011. This competition will focus on engaging practical users within the timetabling community. Details will be releases at PATAT10 in Belfast.

Competition Chair of ITC2007

The Second International Timetabling Competition began on the 1st August 2007. The overall aim of the competition is to create better understanding between researchers and practitioners by allowing emerging techniques to be trialed and tested on real world models of timetabling problems.

Peer Review College Member

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is the UK Government’s leading funding agency for research and training in engineering and the physical sciences. Elected to the Peer Review College for the second time in October 2005 for a period of three years.

Inter-disciplinary Scheduling Network (ISN)

Member of the Steering Committee of the EPSRC Inter-disciplinary Scheduling Network (ISN). This network ran from May 2001-April 2004 and was classified as outstanding by EPSRC. It provided a national foundation and infrastructure to support major new interdisciplinary and inter-institutional approaches for the modeling, optimisation, analysis, implementation and understanding of scheduling decision support systems throughout the industrial, commercial and service sectors so as to enable software vendors to match the needs of these sectors.
