I am a senior lecturer of computer science in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen's University Belfast. I received my PhD in 1992, MSc in 1985 and BSc in 1982, all in computer science. I am a member of the Knowledge and Data Engineering research cluster within the school.

Research Interests

My research interests are in the field of artificial intelligence (e.g., planning, knowledge representation and reasoning, reasoning under uncertainty and machine learning), and its intersections with databases and Web technology. My main research areas are AI planning, data integration/Web integration, Web intelligence and intelligent interfaces, reasoning under uncertainty, and intelligent programming tutors.
