Planning Resource Usage within an Uncertain Environment
Investigation and development of methodologies and algorithms to provide for better planning and management of space within the University sector.
This will provise the ability to configure the best space profile for the intended curricum delivery, then, matching it up to what is currently available within the estate and solving how least to amend the existing profile and what benefits we would get.
Research Challenges
To understand why existing space usage across the sector is poor and provide a better match between the institutional space profile and the delivery style of the curriculm.
To provide better allocation of usage profiles and exisiting space.
To understand how existing estate should be rengineered in the provision of effectice space in which to deliver curriculm.
To understood how new space should be planned for in light of institutional reorganisations of changes to pedagogic structures, models and/or deliery styles.
